EUROPE / 90 DAYS / NETHERLANDS-FIRST

Evidence for the
next hand-off.

ēkotrace is testing whether material intelligence can travel with a textile from collection to sorting, processing and reporting — as a reviewable record, not a campaign claim.

One evidence thread across
collection → sort → process → report

A small, serious pilot
with a useful ending.

Europe does not need
another promise.

It needs practical infrastructure for the moment when a material claim is questioned.

Our Netherlands-first thesis is deliberately narrow: take one defined textile stream through four operational gates, record the decisions and hand-offs, then invite a human review of what the record can and cannot support.

That is the work. No invented network, no implied endorsement, no leap from “designed for” to “certified against”.

01

Define the unit

Agree what enters the pilot, what a batch means and which fields are essential before the first hand-off.

02

Preserve the thread

Carry identity, mass balance, decision points and exceptions forward without pretending uncertainty is gone.

03

Review the record

Leave with an evidence pack that a partner, buyer or reviewer can interrogate and improve.

Progress is a chain
of small proofs.

01MapDays 01—15

Material, roles, consent and minimum evidence fields.

02InstrumentDays 16—45

Capture collection, sorting and processing events in a shared review surface.

03ChallengeDays 46—70

Test gaps, exceptions, mass balance and the language of uncertainty.

04ExitDays 71—90

Review a bounded evidence pack and decide what earns a next phase.

Useful if it can
stand up to a question.

01One agreed material scope has a documented chain across all four gates.

02At least 90% of pilot batches have complete minimum fields, with exceptions visible rather than filled in.

03Two partner-side reviewers can reproduce the material journey from the evidence pack.

04The group agrees a next-step decision: extend, change scope, pause or stop.

These official European Commission pages shape our questions about product information and interoperability. They do not certify ēkotrace or the pilot.

Bring a role.
Not a logo wall.

The pilot needs people who hold a real step in the material journey. We name capabilities publicly; relationships are confirmed separately and in writing.

01Collection operator

Capture intake, origin, weight and hand-off evidence at the first gate.

02Sorting and preparation site

Make decisions, grades, losses and outbound movements reviewable.

03Processor or recycler

Return process, yield and destination evidence without exposing commercial detail.

04Brand, retailer or steward

Bring the question, material stream and reporting audience.

05Public authority or research partner

Challenge assumptions, define safeguards and review the pilot record.
